The L-39 Albatross Co Stars with Pierce Bronson in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies

In the James Bond film TOMORROW NEVER DIES
, MI6 sends James Bond, agent 007, into the field to spy on a terrorist arms bazaar on the Russian border. Bond then discovers two Soviet nuclear missles mounted on an L-39 Albatros, and as Roebuck fails to cancel the missile's approach, 007 hijacks the L-39 and flies away while the weapons bazaar explodes. Gupta escapes with the encoder.

This film is an excellent example of the use of former Soviet Jet Fighters used today in Hollywood Films. The L39 is a Jet Fighter Trainer commonly used for such Hollywood Films and TV Shows.  One of the best known Hollywood Stunt Pilots is Dave Riggs, a pilot who has set 5 aviation world records including one in the L39 at 561 MPH in 2003.
